East Coast Railway Intensifies Fire Safety Checks Ahead of Diwali Rush

East Coast Railway has launched a 15-day intensive fire safety drive across its network to prevent incidents during the Diwali rush. The drive, which began on November 4, involves inspections of stations, trains, and premises in Khurda Road, Sambalpur, and Rayagada divisions. Officials are checking firefighting equipment readiness and identifying potential hazards. Passengers are cautioned against carrying combustible materials like firecrackers and gas cylinders, as it is a punishable offense. The railway is also educating staff and passengers on fire prevention measures through campaigns and signage.

ईस्ट कोस्ट रेलवे ने दिवाली की भीड़ के दौरान किसी भी घटना को रोकने के लिए अपने नेटवर्क में 15-दिवसीय सघन अग्नि सुरक्षा अभियान शुरू किया है। 4 नवंबर को शुरू हुए इस अभियान में खुर्दा रोड, संबलपुर और रायगढ़ा डिवीजनों में स्टेशनों, ट्रेनों और परिसरों का निरीक्षण किया जा रहा है। अधिकारी अग्निशमन उपकरणों की तैयारी की जांच कर रहे हैं और संभावित खतरों की पहचान कर रहे हैं। यात्रियों को पटाखों और गैस सिलेंडरों जैसी ज्वलनशील सामग्री ले जाने के खिलाफ चेतावनी दी जाती है, क्योंकि यह एक दंडनीय अपराध है। रेलवे अभियानों और साइनेज के माध्यम से कर्मचारियों और यात्रियों को आग से बचाव के उपायों के बारे में भी शिक्षित कर रहा है।
