South Korea's military announced that North Korea has launched at least one ballistic missile towards the sea off its east coast. The missile was fired from the port city of Wonsan on the eastern shore of the Korean Peninsula. This incident follows recent escalations, including border fortification efforts by North Korea and fiery rhetoric from Kim Yo Jong, who dismissed South Korean demands and indicated an intent to permanently sever ties. The launch is the latest in a series of recent military displays by North Korea.
