IISc Professor Advocates Learning Maths as a Language for Logical Thinking

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Professor Prathosh AP has advocated for learning mathematics as a language, alongside a communication language. He believes that while languages like Hindi and English facilitate communication, mathematics develops precise, logical thinking and a deeper understanding of the world. Professor AP emphasized that students need to think clearly and articulate their ideas effectively, especially with the rise of Artificial Intelligence. He suggests that learning maths as a language equips students to identify problems, reason through solutions, and explain their thought processes.
