Telangana Govt Announces Rs 596 Crore Bonus For Singareni Coal Workers

The Telangana government has announced a Rs 596 crore bonus for Singareni coal mine workers, to be distributed on the occasion of Dasara. Each of the 38,737 permanent employees will receive an average profit-sharing amount of ₹1,53,912. Additionally, 29,717 contract workers will receive a bonus of ₹5,500 each. This distribution represents 34% of the company's net profit of ₹1,754 crore for the year. The government also addressed other welfare measures for workers, including housing and dependent employment.
