A Forensic Science Laboratory report has revealed the presence of alcohol in the blood of Kamal Dhyani, a 25-year-old man who died after his motorcycle fell into a 15-foot-deep pit dug by the Delhi Jal Board. Dhyani's blood sample contained 150.2 mg of ethyl alcohol per 100 ml, significantly exceeding the permissible limit of 30 mg for driving. The FSL report does not attribute the accident to alcohol consumption. Dhyani's family has alleged negligence by DJB due to inadequate safety measures at the sewer rehabilitation site where the incident occurred.
