Zubeen Garg Death Case: Cousin Sandipon Garg Granted Bail By HC

The Gauhati High Court has granted bail to Sandipon Garg, the suspended Assam Police DSP and cousin of singer Zubeen Garg, who is an accused in the singer's death case. Garg is the second accused to receive bail, following singer Amritprava Mahanta. He will continue to face trial for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Sandipon Garg was arrested last year and suspended from the Assam Police. He was with Zubeen Garg on a yacht when the singer died while swimming in Singapore.

गौहाटी हाईकोर्ट ने गायक ज़ुबिन गर्ग के चचेरे भाई और निलंबित असम पुलिस डीएसपी संदीपोन गर्ग को ज़मानत दे दी है, जो गायक की मौत के मामले में आरोपी हैं। गर्ग दूसरे आरोपी हैं जिन्हें गायक अमृतप्रभा महंत के बाद ज़मानत मिली है। उन पर हत्या की श्रेणी में न आने वाले गैर-इरादतन हत्या का मुकदमा चलता रहेगा। संदीपोन गर्ग को पिछले साल गिरफ्तार किया गया था और असम पुलिस से निलंबित कर दिया गया था। गायक की सिंगापुर में तैरते समय मौत हो गई थी, तब वह गायक ज़ुबिन गर्ग के साथ एक यॉट पर थे।
