Following reports of a glacial lake bursting in Bhutan, authorities have heightened vigilance in West Bengal's border regions. Water is reportedly flowing rapidly from the sensitive Shintafu lake in Bhutan, prompting alerts in surrounding areas and the sounding of sirens. Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri districts in West Bengal are on high alert, with residents near the Sankosh river urged to move to safer locations. Forest Minister Manoj Kumar Oraon advised people to follow administration directives and avoid rumours.

भूटान में हिमनद झील फटने की खबरों के बाद, अधिकारियों ने पश्चिम बंगाल के सीमावर्ती इलाकों में सतर्कता बढ़ा दी है। सूत्रों के अनुसार, भूटान की संवेदनशील शिनताफू झील से तेजी से पानी बह रहा है, जिससे आसपास के इलाकों में अलर्ट जारी किया गया है और सायरन बजाए गए हैं। पश्चिम बंगाल के अलीपुरद्वार और जलपाईगुड़ी जिले हाई अलर्ट पर हैं, और संकोश नदी के पास रहने वाले लोगों से सुरक्षित स्थानों पर जाने का आग्रह किया गया है। वन मंत्री मनोज कुमार ओरांव ने लोगों से प्रशासन के निर्देशों का पालन करने और अफवाहों से बचने की सलाह दी है।
