Vijayawada Ghat Road Closed After Boulders Fall

Heavy rains in Vijayawada caused large boulders, rocks, and soil to slide down Indrakeeladri onto the Ghat Road on Thursday night. A major accident was averted as the road had already been closed for repairs ahead of the Dasara festivities. District Collector G. Lakshmisha inspected the site and ordered the immediate removal of debris. He also directed experts to assess the hill's stability and strengthen safety measures, ensuring no one is allowed on the road until it is deemed safe.

विजयवाड़ा में भारी बारिश के कारण गुरुवार रात को इंद्राकीलाद्री से घाट रोड पर बड़े-बड़े पत्थर, चट्टानें और मिट्टी खिसक गई। दासरा उत्सव से पहले सड़क की मरम्मत के लिए बंद होने के कारण एक बड़ा हादसा टल गया। जिला कलेक्टर जी. लक्षमीशा ने मौके का मुआयना किया और मलबा हटाने के आदेश दिए। उन्होंने पहाड़ी की स्थिरता का आकलन करने और सुरक्षा उपाय मजबूत करने के निर्देश भी दिए।
