Jaipur Firecracker Stalls Encroach Roads, Raising Public Safety Concerns

As Diwali approaches, firecracker stalls in Jaipur are causing public safety concerns due to their locations and lack of safety measures. Many stalls have encroached on public roads and narrow lanes in areas like Mansarovar and Jhotwara, exacerbating traffic congestion. The proximity to commercial buildings, hotels, and hospitals is particularly worrying, with a noticeable absence of fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment. Exposed electrical wiring also poses a fire risk. Jaipur Municipal Corporation commissioner Om Kasera stated an investigation will be conducted if such stalls are found operating improperly.

दिवाली नज़दीक आते ही जयपुर में पटाखों के स्टॉल अपनी जगहों और सुरक्षा उपायों की कमी के कारण लोगों की सुरक्षा के लिए चिंता का विषय बन गए हैं। कई स्टॉल मानसरोवर और झोटवाड़ा जैसे इलाकों में सार्वजनिक सड़कों और तंग गलियों में अतिक्रमण कर रहे हैं, जिससे यातायात जाम की समस्या और बढ़ रही है। व्यावसायिक इमारतों, होटलों और अस्पतालों के पास इनकी मौजूदगी विशेष रूप से चिंताजनक है, और आग बुझाने वाले यंत्रों और अन्य आपातकालीन उपकरणों की स्पष्ट कमी देखी जा रही है। खुले बिजली के तार भी आग लगने का खतरा पैदा कर रहे हैं।
