Jennifer Bailey, Apple's VP of Apple Pay, stated that regulatory frameworks, payment infrastructure, and partner readiness were key for the launch. The Reserve Bank of India's support for biometric authentication, enabling Face ID and Touch ID, was a significant development. Axis Bank's CEO Amitabh Chaudhry highlighted the shift towards embedded payments and innovation. The service is available across Apple devices, and platforms like PayU and Zomato have already integrated it.
