FSDA Raids Two Food Establishments, Seizes Oil & Edible Fat Worth Rs 5.88 Lakh

Food Safety and Drug Administration teams conducted surprise raids on two food establishments in Kanpur on Thursday, seizing goods valued at Rs 5.88 lakh. In Fazalganj, an establishment's operations were suspended due to improper packaging of edible fat, with three samples collected for testing. Another raid in Saket Nagar resulted in the seizure of 108 cartons containing 2,496 bottles of refined groundnut oil, worth Rs 2,88,000. Further legal action will be taken based on laboratory test reports.
