The attacks, potentially involving AI tools, exploited vulnerabilities in API controls of a technology platform, bypassing customer verification and transaction safeguards. CERT-In issued an advisory, warning institutions to suspend compromised interfaces and strengthen security measures. Affected entities are now disabling vulnerable interfaces and enhancing transaction controls to ensure payouts are linked to verified customers and authorised transactions.
