Rupee Rises Against Dollar As Crude Prices Drop

The Indian Rupee opened stronger against the US dollar on Monday, gaining 28 paise. This appreciation was driven by declining crude oil prices, which fell to $92 per barrel, and a weaker dollar globally. Easing Middle East tensions and positive domestic equity performance also contributed to the rupee's strength. Foreign institutional investors, however, continued to be net sellers of equities.
