India Prioritises Sport For Nation-Building, Invests In Infrastructure

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated that India is placing sport at the core of nation-building by investing in future-ready infrastructure. He inaugurated the BRICS Traditional and Indigenous Sports Demonstration Games in Ahmedabad, highlighting a USD 3.76 billion allocation for the Khelo India Initiative. This initiative aims for grassroots participation, talent identification, and infrastructure upgrades to build a sustainable sporting ecosystem. Mandaviya emphasized that sport is a powerful tool for youth development, social inclusion, and international cooperation, showcasing India's indigenous sports like Mallakhamb and Kalaripayattu.

केंद्रीय खेल मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने कहा कि भारत भविष्य के लिए तैयार बुनियादी ढांचे में निवेश करके राष्ट्र निर्माण के मूल में खेल को रख रहा है। उन्होंने अहमदाबाद में BRICS पारंपरिक और स्वदेशी खेल प्रदर्शन खेलों का उद्घाटन किया, जिसमें खेलो इंडिया पहल के लिए 3.76 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के आवंटन पर प्रकाश डाला गया। इस पहल का उद्देश्य जमीनी स्तर पर भागीदारी, प्रतिभा की पहचान और एक स्थायी खेल पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के निर्माण के लिए बुनियादी ढांचे के उन्नयन को बढ़ावा देना है।
