India to Appoint Subject-Expert Inspectors for Homoeopathic Medicine Units

India plans to amend drug regulation rules to recognize homoeopathic degrees for inspectors overseeing manufacturing units of these alternative medicines. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation will amend Rule 49 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, to include homoeopathy specialization for inspectors. This move aims to ensure safety and quality by bringing in domain expertise, as current rules do not recognize homoeopathic qualifications for such appointments. The proposal was discussed and agreed upon in principle by the Drugs Consultative Committee.

भारत वैकल्पिक दवाओं की निर्माण इकाइयों की निगरानी के लिए होम्योपैथिक डिग्री को मान्यता देने हेतु दवा नियम नियमों में संशोधन करने की योजना बना रहा है। सेंट्रल ड्रग्स स्टैंडर्ड कंट्रोल ऑर्गनाइजेशन, होम्योपैथी विशेषज्ञता को निरीक्षकों के लिए शामिल करने हेतु ड्रग्स एंड कॉस्मेटिक्स रूल्स, 1945 के नियम 49 में संशोधन करेगा। इस कदम का उद्देश्य डोमेन विशेषज्ञता लाकर सुरक्षा और गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित करना है, क्योंकि वर्तमान नियम ऐसे नियुक्तियों के लिए होम्योपैथिक योग्यताओं को मान्यता नहीं देते हैं। इस प्रस्ताव पर ड्रग्स कंसल्टेटिव कमेटी द्वारा सिद्धांत रूप में चर्चा की गई और सहमति व्यक्त की गई।
