Visa has open-sourced part of its AI-powered cyber defence system following vulnerabilities exposed by AI models. The payments giant is preparing for autonomous cyberattacks and future quantum-computing threats. President of Technology Rajat Taneja stated that human defences will not work against adaptive, agentic adversaries. He emphasized the need for agentic defences to counter these evolving threats. Visa processes about a billion payments daily, highlighting the critical need for robust security in global financial systems.
