ओडिशा ने आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों से लेकर विश्वविद्यालयों तक, सभी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के लिए मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को लेकर एक सख्त एसओपी लागू की है। नई गाइडलाइंस शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों को छात्रों के प्रति 'आलसी' या 'जिद्दी' जैसे अपमानजनक शब्दों का इस्तेमाल करने से रोकती हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य एक सकारात्मक माहौल बनाकर बच्चों और युवाओं की मानसिक भलाई की रक्षा करना है। एसओपी छात्रों के साथ सावधानीपूर्वक व्यवहार करने, सार्वजनिक रूप से डांटने या अपमानित करने से रोकने का आदेश देती है, यह मानते हुए कि नकारात्मक व्यवहार मानसिक तनाव या अवसाद से उत्पन्न हो सकता है।
