CRPF Constable Shoots Self Dead On Duty At Mizoram Governor's Residence

A 31-year-old CRPF constable, Sudhir Swami, allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle on Thursday while on duty at the Mizoram governor's official residence in Aizawl. Swami, a 2023 batch recruit posted at Gate 2 of Lok Bhavan, reportedly died around 10 am. The motive behind the incident is currently unknown. Police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating, seizing his rifle and mobile phone. His body was sent for a post-mortem and is expected to be transported to his native place in Rajasthan.
