Cyclone Ornab, currently in the Bay of Bengal, is rapidly intensifying and moving towards the Andhra Pradesh coast. Weather officials predict it could become a severe cyclonic storm and make landfall near Bapatla and Visakhapatnam morning, with wind speeds potentially reaching 125 km/h. A high alert has been declared in coastal states, with the National Crisis Management Committee reviewing preparedness. The cyclone is also expected to bring heavy rainfall to parts of West Bengal, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
