Two Cops Among Five Held For Loot

Varanasi police have arrested five individuals, including two constables, in connection with separate loot and extortion cases. Three of the accused were impersonating police officers. One case involved the extortion of Rs 2.15 lakh after a complainant was abducted and assaulted. Another incident saw Rs 1.65 lakh extorted from a victim. The Sureri police station in-charge has been suspended following these arrests.

पांच लुटेरों में दो पुलिसकर्मी गिरफ्तार

वाराणसी पुलिस ने लूट और वसूली के अलग-अलग मामलों में दो कांस्टेबल समेत पांच लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। इनमें से तीन आरोपी पुलिसकर्मी बनकर लोगों को ठग रहे थे। एक मामले में, शिकायतकर्ता को अगवा कर पीटने के बाद 2.15 लाख रुपये की वसूली की गई। एक और घटना में, एक पीड़ित से 1.65 लाख रुपये वसूले गए। इन गिरफ्तारियों के बाद सुरेरी थाने के प्रभारी को निलंबित कर दिया गया है।
