Bhim Army Chief Seeks CBI Probe Into IIT-Bombay Student's Death

Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Azad has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting a CBI investigation into the death of an IIT-Bombay student last month. The student allegedly died by suicide on September 18, after being caught uploading the question paper on ChatGPT during an exam. Azad also called for an investigation into the alleged mistreatment of students protesting for justice. IIT-Bombay has stated that no disciplinary action was initiated against the student, and the instructor had counselled him.

भीम आर्मी के चीफ चंद्र शेखर आजाद ने केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह को पत्र लिखकर पिछले महीने IIT-बॉम्बे के एक छात्र की मौत की CBI जांच का अनुरोध किया है। छात्र की कथित तौर पर 18 सितंबर को आत्महत्या से मौत हो गई थी, जब उसे परीक्षा के दौरान ChatGPT पर प्रश्न पत्र अपलोड करते हुए पकड़ा गया था। आजाद ने न्याय के लिए विरोध कर रहे छात्रों के कथित उत्पीड़न की भी जांच की मांग की। IIT-बॉम्बे ने कहा है कि छात्र के खिलाफ कोई अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई शुरू नहीं की गई थी, और शिक्षक ने उसे सलाह दी थी।
