In the last four years, Indian Railways has reported the theft of a staggering 1.27 crore linen items from its AC coaches. This includes bedsheets, towels, blankets, and pillows, amounting to a significant financial loss for the national transporter. The continuous pilferage impacts passenger comfort and increases operational costs for replacing the stolen goods. Railway authorities are exploring measures to curb this persistent issue.
