Israeli opposition politicians have blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for damaging Israel's support in the United States following the Democratic Party's victory in the US Congress elections. Former Prime Minister Yair Lapid stated that Netanyahu's policies endanger Israel's security and global standing, urging a return to bipartisan relations. Lapid emphasized that Israel must not align with a single party in American politics. He acknowledged a growing "anti-Israel core" in Congress but noted it remains a minority. Gadi Eisenkot also pledged to restore bipartisan ties under his leadership.
