Ashwin: Bhuvneshwar's India Recall Was Reward For Success, Not Chased

Business Standard · sports

Ravichandran Ashwin believes pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar earned his India T20I recall by focusing on consistent performances for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, rather than actively seeking a comeback. Ashwin stated that Bhuvneshwar's dedication to his job and performing well, especially with the new ball, led to his inclusion in the squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. The veteran spinner also commented on his relationships with Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli, noting improvements after Kohli relinquished captaincy.
