The first anniversary of the Gaza ceasefire on October 10 has been described as existing "in name only" by over 100 humanitarian organizations. Since the truce, Israeli forces have killed or wounded a Palestinian in Gaza on average every 90 minutes. Gaza's Health Ministry reported 1,493 killed and 5,299 wounded as of October 12, with cumulative deaths since October 2023 reaching 74,382. Israeli forces have also pushed the 'Yellow Line' further into residential areas, causing new displacement and disrupting the Palestinian olive harvest.
