Gold, Silver Prices Fall Sharply; Buyers Wait

Gold and silver prices experienced a significant drop on Monday, with silver futures for September delivery falling by ₹6,661 to ₹2,28,035 per kg and gold futures for October delivery slipping ₹3,214 to ₹1,47,667 per 10 grams. This price correction has made gold and silver more affordable. However, potential buyers are deferring purchases for upcoming festivals and weddings, anticipating further declines. Jewellers noted that buying typically occurs in a rising market, and customers are unlikely to purchase until prices stabilize or show signs of recovery.
