South Korea's financial regulator is investigating whether a potential US listing of SK Hynix subsidiary Solidigm could violate domestic dual-listing rules. Governor Lee Chan-jin stated that both the Financial Services Commission and the watchdog believe the listing might breach regulations designed to protect minority shareholders. This comes as Solidigm considers an IPO, potentially valuing the subsidiary up to $150 billion. South Korean regulators recently tightened dual-listing rules, requiring board approval and minority shareholder consent before overseas listings. SK Hynix is evaluating measures to address shareholder concerns about the potential IPO.
