Protests Escalate Over Election Commission's Voter Roll Revisions

Protests initially demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation have expanded to challenge the Election Commission's revision of electoral rolls. Youth groups, student organizations, and opposition parties allege that eligible voters are being excluded, viewing Kumar, Prime Minister Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah as complicit in a plot to manipulate elections. The BJP, however, accuses opponents of attempting to undermine the electoral process. The demonstrations have led to significant security measures in parts of Delhi.

शुरुआत में मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञाननेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर शुरू हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन अब चुनाव आयोग द्वारा मतदाता सूची में किए गए संशोधन को चुनौती देने तक फैल गए हैं। युवा समूहों, छात्र संगठनों और विपक्षी दलों का आरोप है कि योग्य मतदाताओं को सूची से बाहर किया जा रहा है। वे कुमार, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी और गृह मंत्री अमित शाह को चुनाव में हेरफेर की साजिश में मिलीभगत करने वाला मान रहे हैं। वहीं, भाजपा विरोधियों पर चुनावी प्रक्रिया को कमजोर करने की कोशिश करने का आरोप लगा रही है। इन प्रदर्शनों के कारण दिल्ली के कुछ हिस्सों में कड़ी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की गई है।
