NIA Masterminds Granted Bail in Bomb Case

A Kolkata court granted bail to two individuals identified by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as masterminds in a 2022 West Bengal bomb-making conspiracy. Asfar and Entazul Middya were arrested for allegedly directing the illegal manufacturing of crude bombs in Amta, Howrah. The court noted no direct incriminating materials were recovered from the accused and that the investigation concerning others was ongoing. The NIA had claimed the bombs were intended to terrorize the local populace, and some had exploded, injuring four people, one fatally.

एक कोलकाता कोर्ट ने नेशनल इन्वेस्टिगेशन एजेंसी (NIA) द्वारा 2022 के पश्चिम बंगाल बम बनाने की साजिश में मास्टरमाइंड बताए गए दो लोगों को ज़मानत दे दी है। असफ़र और इंतज़ुल मिद्या को हावड़ा के आमता में अवैध बम बनाने के निर्देशन का आरोप था। कोर्ट ने कहा कि आरोपियों से कोई सीधा सबूत नहीं मिला है और बाकियों की जांच जारी है। NIA ने दावा किया था कि बमों का मकसद स्थानीय लोगों को डराना था, और कुछ बम फटने से चार लोग घायल हुए थे, जिनमें से एक की मौत हो गई थी।
