Kerala HC Dismisses Accused's Transfer Plea

The Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition filed by the accused in the Shuhaib murder case seeking to transfer their trial proceedings. The accused, including former DYFI leader Akash Thillenkery, had lost faith in the Additional Sessions Court, Thalassery, after their request for a question-and-answer format witness examination was denied. Justice C.S. Dias stated that mere erroneous orders do not warrant a transfer, emphasizing the need for genuine apprehension of an unfair trial.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने शुहैब हत्या मामले के आरोपियों की ट्रायल को ट्रांसफर करने की याचिका खारिज कर दी है। आरोपियों, जिनमें पूर्व DYFI लीडर आकाश थिलेंकेरी भी शामिल हैं, ने एडिशनल सेशंस कोर्ट, Thalassery में गवाहों से सवाल-जवाब के फॉर्मेट में पूछताछ की अपनी अर्जी खारिज होने के बाद कोर्ट पर भरोसा खो दिया था। जस्टिस C.S. Dias ने कहा कि सिर्फ गलत ऑर्डर से केस ट्रांसफर नहीं किया जा सकता, बल्कि निष्पक्ष सुनवाई के डर का ठोस कारण होना चाहिए।
