Puducherry Declares November 9th Public Holiday For Diwali Celebrations

The Puducherry government has declared November 9th a public holiday across all regions of the Union territory. This holiday is in observance of the Diwali festival. All government offices, public sector undertakings, educational institutions, and banking institutions will remain closed on this day. To compensate for the holiday, November 21st has been designated as a working day for all these establishments. This decision aims to allow residents to celebrate the festival.

पुडुचेरी सरकार ने केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के सभी क्षेत्रों में 9 नवंबर को सार्वजनिक अवकाश घोषित किया है। यह अवकाश दिवाली के त्योहार के उपलक्ष्य में है। इस दिन सभी सरकारी दफ्तर, सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रम, शैक्षणिक संस्थान और बैंकिंग संस्थान बंद रहेंगे। अवकाश की भरपाई के लिए, इन सभी प्रतिष्ठानों के लिए 21 नवंबर को कार्य दिवस के रूप में नामित किया गया है। इस निर्णय का उद्देश्य निवासियों को त्योहार मनाने की अनुमति देना है।
