Delhi HC to Hear Plea Seeking Jantar Mantar As Protest Site Again

The Delhi High Court will hear a plea seeking to reinstate Jantar Mantar as a designated protest site. The court will also address allegations of "outsiders" disrupting protests and harassing demonstrators. A separate petition by National Students Union of India president Vinod Jakhar calls for an impartial investigation into attacks on peaceful protesters. The court noted that the Supreme Court is also examining the issue and has asked the Centre to file an affidavit.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट एक ऐसी याचिका पर सुनवाई करेगा जिसमें जंतर मंतर को फिर से एक निर्धारित विरोध स्थल के रूप में बहाल करने की मांग की गई है। अदालत "बाहरी लोगों" द्वारा विरोध प्रदर्शनों में बाधा डालने और प्रदर्शनकारियों को परेशान करने के आरोपों पर भी विचार करेगी। नेशनल स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन ऑफ इंडिया के अध्यक्ष विनोद जाखड़ द्वारा एक अलग याचिका में शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शनकारियों पर हमलों की निष्पक्ष जांच की मांग की गई है। अदालत ने कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट भी इस मुद्दे की जांच कर रहा है और उसने केंद्र से एक हलफनामा दाखिल करने को कहा है।
