This defeat in the home turf of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis raises questions about the BJP's candidate selection process. Over 15,000 votes were declared invalid, with nearly 9,000 ballots allegedly marked incorrectly for Kohale.
