Madhuri Dixit on marrying Dr. Nene: 'He mends hearts'

Actress Madhuri Dixit shared a witty reason for marrying cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Shriram Nene, stating she chose someone who 'mends hearts'. She made the remark on the reality show 'Kon Honar Crorepati' while speaking with co-host Sonali Bendre. Bendre had noted that many of Dixit's admirers were heartbroken when she got married in 1999. Dixit explained playfully that her husband's profession of treating hearts was the reason for her choice. She moved to the US after marriage at the peak of her career but later returned to Bollywood.

अभिनेत्री माधुरी दीक्षित ने कार्डियोवैस्कुलर सर्जन डॉ. श्रीराम नेने से शादी करने की एक मजेदार वजह बताई, उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने ऐसे व्यक्ति को चुना जो 'दिल जोड़ता है'। उन्होंने यह बात रियलिटी शो 'कौन होणार करोडपती' में को-होस्ट सोनाली बेंद्रे से बात करते हुए कही। बेंद्रे ने उल्लेख किया था कि 1999 में शादी होने पर दीक्षित के कई प्रशंसक दिल टूट गए थे। दीक्षित ने मजाकिया अंदाज में समझाया कि उनके पति का दिल का इलाज करने का पेशा उनकी पसंद का कारण था। उन्होंने अपने करियर के चरम पर शादी के बाद अमेरिका में कदम रखा लेकिन बाद में बॉलीवुड लौट आईं।
