Woman Hacked To Death In Thoothukudi Over Objection To Man's Contact With Daughter

A 48-year-old woman was fatally attacked with a sickle by a 23-year-old man in Thoothukudi district on Friday. The accused, Gnanaprakash, allegedly targeted Mary Vijila after she and her husband objected to his contact with their minor daughter. Gnanaprakash also injured the victim's husband and 12-year-old son before fleeing with two other minor daughters, who were later rescued by police. The accused has been arrested, and further investigations are ongoing.

शुक्रवार को थोथुकुडी जिले में 23 वर्षीय युवक ने 48 वर्षीय महिला पर दरांती से हमला कर उसे मौत के घाट उतार दिया। आरोपी, ज्ञानप्रकाश, ने कथित तौर पर मैरी विजिला को निशाना बनाया क्योंकि उसने और उसके पति ने उनकी नाबालिग बेटी से उसके संपर्क पर आपत्ति जताई थी। ज्ञानप्रकाश ने पीड़ित के पति और 12 वर्षीय बेटे को भी घायल कर दिया और फिर दो अन्य नाबालिग बेटियों के साथ भाग गया, जिन्हें बाद में पुलिस ने बचा लिया। आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है और आगे की जांच जारी है।
