Kerala Governor Urges IIIT Kottayam Students To Use Technology Responsibly

Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has urged students at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam to become masters of technology, not its slaves. Addressing the eighth convocation, he stressed the importance of responsible use of emerging technologies like AI. The Governor also emphasized maintaining educational quality as the institute expands and mooted the concept of 'YSR. Degrees were awarded to 386 BTech, 84 MTech, and eight PhD students, with 55 receiving merit certificates.

केरल के राज्यपाल राजेंद्र विश्वनाथ आर्लेकर ने इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इन्फॉर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी (IIIT) कोट्टयम के छात्रों से कहा है कि वे तकनीक के गुलाम नहीं, बल्कि मालिक बनें। आठवें दीक्षांत समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने AI जैसी उभरती तकनीकों के जिम्मेदार उपयोग के महत्व पर जोर दिया। राज्यपाल ने संस्थान के विस्तार के साथ-साथ शैक्षणिक गुणवत्ता बनाए रखने पर भी जोर दिया और 'YSR' की अवधारणा पेश की। 386 बीटेक, 84 एमटेक और आठ पीएचडी छात्रों को डिग्रियां दी गईं, जबकि 55 को मेरिट सर्टिफिकेट मिले।
