UP Election Commission Deactivates Computer Operator IDs Amid Misuse Allegations

Uttar Pradesh's Chief Electoral Officer has ordered the immediate deactivation of all computer assistant login IDs for the ECINET portal following allegations of voter data manipulation. The Congress party reported over 13,000 voter names were replaced in Pilibhit Sadar constituency. An investigation found irregularities in 10,470 electoral roll entries, leading to a decision to take legal action against electoral registration officers. The Election Commission has also ordered a reverification of all roll changes made by computer assistants across the state's 403 Assembly constituencies.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी ने ECINET पोर्टल के लिए सभी कंप्यूटर सहायक लॉगिन आईडी को तत्काल निष्क्रिय करने का आदेश दिया है। यह आदेश मतदाता डेटा में हेरफेर के आरोपों के बाद आया है। कांग्रेस पार्टी ने पीलीभीत सदर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में 13,000 से अधिक मतदाता नामों के बदले जाने की सूचना दी थी। एक जांच में 10,470 चुनावी रोल प्रविष्टियों में अनियमितताएं पाई गईं, जिसके कारण चुनावी पंजीकरण अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई करने का निर्णय लिया गया। चुनाव आयोग ने राज्य की सभी 403 विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में कंप्यूटर सहायकों द्वारा किए गए सभी रोल परिवर्तनों के पुन: सत्यापन का भी आदेश दिया है।
