Noida Authority Forms 5-Member Panel to Study Rs 29,000 Crore Hindon Riverfront Project

A five-member committee has been formed by the Noida Authority to study a proposed Rs 29,000-crore riverfront project along the Hindon River. The ambitious plan aims to partially straighten the river, restore it to its original course, and reclaim land for roads and green belts. The committee will examine flood patterns, river course changes, and identify areas of deviation. The project involves nearly tripling the river's width to 150 metres, creating a new 6-lane road corridor to significantly reduce travel time between NH-24 and Noida Expressway.

नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने हिंडन नदी के किनारे 29,000 करोड़ रुपये के प्रस्तावित रिवरफ्रंट प्रोजेक्ट का अध्ययन करने के लिए पांच सदस्यीय समिति का गठन किया है। इस महत्वाकांक्षी योजना का उद्देश्य नदी को आंशिक रूप से सीधा करना, उसे उसके मूल मार्ग पर बहाल करना और सड़कों तथा हरित पट्टियों के लिए भूमि खाली कराना है। समिति बाढ़ के पैटर्न, नदी के मार्ग में बदलावों का अध्ययन करेगी और विचलन वाले क्षेत्रों की पहचान करेगी। इस परियोजना में नदी की चौड़ाई को लगभग तीन गुना बढ़ाकर 150 मीटर करना शामिल है, जिससे NH-24 और नोएडा एक्सप्रेसवे के बीच यात्रा के समय को काफी कम करने के लिए एक नया 6-लेन सड़क गलियारा बनाया जाएगा।
