Coimbatore-born athlete Vithya Ramraj has achieved a significant milestone at the Asian Games by breaking PT Usha's 43-year-old national record in the 400m hurdles. Ramraj clocked 54.75 seconds, surpassing Usha's 1984 record of 55.42 seconds. This achievement comes after Ramraj had been chasing the record for three years and previously equalled it. She also secured three medals at the Games, including one of each colour. Ramraj expressed her joy and belief that Indian athletes can achieve anything if they have self-belief and work hard.
