Pawan Kalyan Approaches DGP Over Fake WhatsApp Account Spreading Resignation Rumours

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has personally contacted the Director General of Police regarding a fake WhatsApp account impersonating his office. The account, created in August 2024, falsely claimed Kalyan was resigning to launch a news channel and lead the opposition. Jana Sena party has filed a complaint with the cybercrime wing. The administrator of the fake account has since issued an apology, admitting to sharing unverified information picked up from social media. Police have registered a case and are investigating the origin of the misleading claims.

आंध्र प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री पवन कल्याण ने अपने दफ्तर का भेष बदलने वाले एक नकली व्हाट्सएप अकाउंट के संबंध में व्यक्तिगत रूप से पुलिस महानिदेशक से संपर्क किया है। अगस्त 2024 में बनाए गए इस अकाउंट ने झूठा दावा किया था कि कल्याण एक समाचार चैनल शुरू करने और विपक्ष का नेतृत्व करने के लिए इस्तीफा दे रहे हैं। जन सेना पार्टी ने साइबर क्राइम विंग में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है। नकली अकाउंट के एडमिन ने बाद में माफी मांगी है और सोशल मीडिया से उठाई गई अप्रमाणित जानकारी साझा करने की बात स्वीकार की है। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और भ्रामक दावों के स्रोत की जांच कर रही है।
