Kerala Congress Faces Internal Dissent Over Seat Allocation And Leadership Decisions

The Hindu · india

The Kerala Congress is experiencing significant internal discontent, with senior leaders expressing dissent over alleged financial considerations in Assembly seat allocation and decisions made without adequate consultation. Key figures are reportedly staying away from party forums, questioning the consolidation of power under the current leadership. Allegations suggest that seats like Changanassery, Thiruvalla, and Kuttanad were influenced by financial factors, while senior leaders felt sidelined. The party's recent defeat in a local by-election is being cited by dissidents as evidence of the leadership's disregard for party workers' concerns.
