A Panvel sessions court has sentenced Shrimant Nagargoje to life imprisonment for the 2016 murders of his wife and their six-year-old daughter. Nagargoje suspected his wife's character and attempted to stage her death as an accident. He then strangled their daughter, who had witnessed the crime, fearing she would reveal the truth. Nagargoje was apprehended in Goa in 2020, four years after the murders, and subsequently convicted under Section 302 of the IPC. The court also imposed fines and directed compensation to the complainant.

पनवेल की एक सेशन कोर्ट ने 2016 में अपनी पत्नी और छह साल की बेटी की हत्या के मामले में श्रीमंत नागरगोजे को उम्रकैद की सज़ा सुनाई है। नागरगोजे को अपनी पत्नी के चरित्र पर शक था और उसने उसकी मौत को दुर्घटना दिखाने की कोशिश की थी। उसने अपनी बेटी का गला घोंट दिया, जो इस अपराध की गवाह थी, क्योंकि उसे डर था कि वह सच बता देगी। नागरगोजे को हत्या के चार साल बाद 2020 में गोवा में पकड़ा गया था और बाद में IPC की धारा 302 के तहत दोषी ठहराया गया। कोर्ट ने उस पर जुर्माना भी लगाया और शिकायतकर्ता को मुआवज़ा देने का आदेश दिया।
