The Africa Space Expo in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, focused on space applications for food security, climate resilience, and connectivity, aiming to move ideas from demonstration to deployment. Several agreements were reached, including the Ivory Coast signing the Artemis Accords as the 75th signatory and Angola signing a letter of intent with the UAE. Ghana's National Space Policy was approved in 2022 and launched in 2024, with a Ghana Space Agency approved in 2025. The expo highlighted Africa's challenge in transitioning from using space technology to building its own.
