The Hindu - International · world
A Sri Lankan court has refused to issue arrest warrants for two Indian directors, Amit Katyal and Rajendra Prasad Gupta, in connection with an alleged bribery case. Prosecutors from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption had sought their arrest. The Colombo Chief Magistrate cited a lack of evidence and requested a report detailing the evidence for the warrants. Opposition leader Namal Rajapaksa and local agent Janaki Siriwardena are currently in remand custody as suspects in the case.
