Sebi Seeks Insurance Data Inclusion In Consolidated Investor Statements

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has requested the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) to include insurance data in consolidated account statements. This move aims to provide investors with a comprehensive overview of their financial holdings, integrating information beyond current securities, mutual funds, and pension system data. Sebi chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated that the account aggregator framework could facilitate this integration. The regulator is also working on incorporating bank deposit information.
