Chennai To Build Elevated Bridge Over Marshland

Chennai is set to replace a 2-km stretch of the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road with a 2-km elevated bridge. The existing road will be removed to allow floodwaters to flow freely through the Pallikaranai marshland, which currently faces hindrances. This project, costing approximately ₹450 crore, is expected to take two years to complete. The elevated structure aims to alleviate annual flooding in areas like Ram Nagar and Velachery by improving water flow to Okkiyam Maduvu.

चेन्नई में दलदल पर बनेगा एलिवेटेड ब्रिज

चेन्नई में पल्लवरम-थोराईपक्कम रेडियल रोड का 2 किलोमीटर का हिस्सा हटाकर उसकी जगह एलिवेटेड ब्रिज बनेगा। इससे पल्लिकरनई दलदल से बाढ़ का पानी आसानी से निकल सकेगा, जो अभी रुक जाता है। करीब ₹450 करोड़ की इस परियोजना में दो साल लगेंगे। यह एलिवेटेड ब्रिज राम नगर और वेलाचेरी जैसे इलाकों में हर साल आने वाली बाढ़ को कम करेगा।
