India, Chile to Start Talks for Trade Pact

India and Chile have initiated discussions for a comprehensive trade agreement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced. This move follows an agreement between Chile's CODELCO and India's Hindustan Copper Ltd, aiming to expand Chile's market access in India and reduce its dependence on China. The two nations also signed three MoUs and an agreement for cooperation in mining exploration and mineral beneficiation. Additionally, they agreed to deepen collaboration in Antarctica exploration and other sectors like digital public infrastructure and renewable energy.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बताया कि भारत और चिली के बीच एक व्यापक व्यापार समझौते पर बातचीत शुरू हो गई है। यह चिली की CODELCO और भारत की Hindustan Copper Ltd के बीच हुए समझौते के बाद हुआ है। इसका मकसद भारत में चिली की बाजार पहुंच बढ़ाना और चीन पर निर्भरता कम करना है। दोनों देशों ने खनन और खनिज विकास में सहयोग के लिए तीन MoUs पर भी हस्ताक्षर किए। अंटार्कटिका की खोज और डिजिटल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर जैसे क्षेत्रों में भी सहयोग बढ़ेगा।
