Maharashtra Govt Appoints 4 Nominated Directors to Gokul Dairy, Boosting Mahayuti's Chances
TV9 Hindi · politics
The Maharashtra government has decided to appoint four nominated directors with voting rights to the Kolhapur District Milk Producers' Union (Gokul), a major dairy cooperative. This decision, made during a cabinet meeting, significantly impacts the upcoming election for the president's post. Previously, there were two nominated directors. The move is seen as a strategic advantage for the Mahayuti alliance, potentially altering the balance of power against the Samavichari Aghadi led by Congress MLA Satej Patil. Gokul is one of India's largest dairy unions after Amul, serving over 5.5 lakh farmers.
