Kozhikode district has recorded 161 confirmed measles cases and one death so far this year, with an additional 116 suspected cases. Health officials noted the disease is primarily spreading among unvaccinated individuals. Preventive measures will be intensified, and vaccination coverage expanded with inter-departmental support. Measles-rubella vaccines are available at all government health centres and can be administered up to age five for children who missed earlier doses.

कोझिकोड जिले में इस साल अब तक मीजल्स के 161 पुष्ट मामले और एक मौत दर्ज की गई है, साथ ही 116 संदिग्ध मामले भी सामने आए हैं। स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों ने बताया कि यह बीमारी मुख्य रूप से उन लोगों में फैल रही है जिन्होंने टीका नहीं लगवाया है। विभिन्न विभागों के सहयोग से निवारक उपायों को तेज किया जाएगा और टीकाकरण कवरेज का विस्तार किया जाएगा। जिन बच्चों ने पहले खुराक नहीं ली है, उनके लिए मीजल्स-रूबेला टीके सभी सरकारी स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों पर उपलब्ध हैं और पांच साल की उम्र तक दिए जा सकते हैं।
