Gopal Vittal, Executive Vice Chairman of Bharti Airtel, has been re-elected as Chair of the GSMA Board of Directors, extending his tenure until December 2028. He has served on the board for a decade and as Chair since 2025, guiding the strategic direction of the global mobile industry body. Vittal highlighted the industry's new phase driven by advanced networks and AI, emphasizing security against cyber threats and scams as paramount. Margherita Della Valle of Vodafone and Ralph Mupita of MTN Group will serve as co-Deputy Chairs.
